For our Head office in Sofia, we are looking for an analytical and highly organized person for the position:
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
YOUR TASKS AND AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
• Take actively part in the year-end closing for all entities in Bulgaria;
• Participate in the statutory financial statements’ audit as well as in the preparation of all reports/documents required by the external auditors;
• Reconciliation on monthly basis of the GL accounts, vendor and customer accounts due to monthly closing;
• Communication and collaboration with the statutory authorities due to tax checks/audits;
• Extensive communication with the external partners of the company;
• Booking the bank accounts movements on a daily basis;
• Booking sales/purchase invoices and take part in the VAT reporting;
• Participation in different projects within REWE group related to the accounting/tax related topics;
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles;
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and prepare financial reports or statements.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
• University degree in “Accounting and Control” or a related field;
• Profound experience with typical accounting procedures;
• Good knowledge of financial accounting statements and business trends;
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills٫ with accuracy and attention to detail;
• Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department;
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations;
• Professional experience in accounting and finance;
• You are able to work with specialized ERP (SAP) will be considered as an advantage;
• Fluent written and spoken business English, (German will be considered as an advantage);
• You are organized, precise and conscientious to your work;
• To be active team player, easily accessible by the other team members;
• To be open-minded and ready to take the challenge to embrace the change and have different point of view for the “usual” routine daily life.
